Steps to Academic Planning
1. Get to Know Yourself
Students:
- It is important to understand and consider what you enjoy, what you are good at, and what is important to you when creating the academic plan right for you.

Parents/Guardians:
- Help your student increase their self-awareness by encouraging them to try new things and celebrating their individuality.

- What do you need to do to reach your future career goals? Create goals or milestones to help you reach your future career goals.
- Future goals provide direction for you as you complete middle school and will help you stay motivated as you move on to high school.
Parents/Guardians:
- Help your students reach high by having high expectations as they explore future careers and create their own goals.
- Support your students by matching the high expectations you set with your students with high empathy and understanding.
